Scrubbers:
Multi-stage NOx scrubbers.
VOC & HAP TREATMENT
Catalytic Thermal Oxidizers:
Catalytic Thermal Oxidizers: Use of a catalyst allows destruction at lower temperatures which saves fuel. Gas or electrically powered. Sometimes not compatible with all compounds that must be abated.
Enclosed Flares
Flame Thermal Oxidizers
(Afterburners): These units provide destruction by passing vapor streams through high temperature zones that have been heated by burners. These units may be coupled with boilers, the waste heat from the oxidizer powering the boiler system.
Recuperative Thermal
Oxidizers: Essentially a flame thermal oxidizer with a heat exchanger to reduce fuel costs. The hot off-gas is routed through the shell side of a heat exchanger, the incoming stream through the tube side - the heating of the incoming stream results in the system requiring less BTUs for treatment. This system can recover up to 75% of its
heat.
Regenerative Thermal
Oxidizer (RTO): Hot off-gas from one bed or section of the oxidizer is routed through another to preheat a bed or section before the contaminated stream enters, resulting in less fuel consumption. This system can recover up to 95% of its heat. Best applied to high flow, low concentration streams.
Gas Cooling & Condensing: Quench systems to reduce temperature using adiabatic
cooling.
Scrubbers:
Wet
scrubbers for noxious gas and particulate removal.
Strippers: High efficiency removal of VOCs.
Wet Electrostatic Precipitators (WESP): Sub-micron
particulate removal from gas streams.
